Putrajaya has lots of beautiful parks that has its own uniqueness. One of it, is the Agricultural Heritage Park. It is located in Precinct 16. What is unique about this park is that it is a live museum that displays all aspect of agricultural industry in Malaysia.

This park doesn't only exhibit the plants but also conducted various agricultural activities such as fruits plucking, touching and smelling them, rubber tapping demonstration and witness the live food processing and cooking demonstration.

The main attraction is the Visitor's Complex, the Herbs and Spices Track, the Fruit Trees Orchards, the Rubber Conservation Plot and the Viewing Deck. The park is carefully planned to reflect the agricultural heritage of the major races in Malaysia.

The impressive Visitor’s Complex, with its rustic and traditional décor, incorporates a Hawkers’ Square where local produce is sold.

Demonstrations on the processing and packaging of local foods are held now and then in a corner of the complex while displays are put up to offer urbanites insights into the nation’s rich agricultural history.


Herbs And Spices

The Visitor's Complex also sells souvenirs, agricultural products, fresh fruits and processed fruits.

If you're interested in the garden, you can start with the Herbs and Spices Track. This is an educational trail where you can pick up valuable information on the various uses of herbs and spices while learning to distinguish one plant from another.

Within the orchard, you can see several roundabouts planted with more herb and spice plants, each promoting an individual theme. Here, herbs used for medicinal purposes are segregated from those meant for commercial uses such as in perfumery.

The Rubber Conservation Plot is another attractive location in the park. It displays about 71 type of cloned rubber which is planted in the 3.6 hectare area.

Given that Malaysia was once the largest rubber-producing country in the world, a 3.6ha of the park has been devoted to the Rubber Cloning Plot that is planted with 1,500 rubber trees originating from 71 clones.

Against the background of the smokehouse, you can witness the entire rubber-manufacturing process from the time it is tapped and churned out as fully smoked sheets.

There are cafe and restaurants that serves delicious food such as cendol and satay.

The Visitor's Complex and the Orchard is open daily (Monday-Sunday) from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm .

The restaurant which is also known as the Penanggah is open daily (Monday-Sunday) from 7.30 am to 11.00 pm .

The Warisan Sate Cafe is open daily (Monday-Sunday) from 11.00 am to 11.00 pm .
