The Eye on Malaysia is a giant ferris wheel that allows you to experience a 360-degree panoramic view
of Kuala Lumpur, and over 20 km of its surroundings for about 15-minute. Among the Kuala Lumpur structures
visible from the eye are the KL Tower, Istana Budaya, Petronas Twin Towers and even Genting Highland!
The 60 metre structure, comprise of 42 air-conditioned gondolas which can each accommodate eight people, one of it will be for the VIP while another two will be reserved for the disabled. The VIP Gondola is complete with leather seats, DVD player, plasma screen, fridge and glass flooring. It's quite similar to the London Eye. The Eye on Malaysia is the 3rd super giant wheel after that in London and Japan, and it is said to be the tallest portable observation wheel in the world. The giant ferris wheel is located at Titiwangsa Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur.
Breathtaking View of Kuala Lumpur From The Eye
The ferris wheel is hot like a sizzling hot plate! Many people are wishing to take a ride and believe me, they don't care about the crowd, the long queue or the weather! We haven't yet have the time to personally check it out but I did watch the Eye on Malaysia Launch on TV1 and it was really cool with lots of fireworks display. There was also a concert held during the eye's opening ceremony featuring Mawi, Anita Sarawak, Micheal Wong, Sheila Majid.
A friend told me that the traffic was really bad and finding a parking spot is not easy. You may be spending 30-60 minutes circling around for getting a parking. So... why not taking the KL Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and forget all the hassle? After visiting the Eye on Malaysia and the Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens, you can still use the bus ticket to visit other interesting places in Kuala Lumpur.
Is it safe? According to its operator and owner, the Eye on Malaysia has been designed according to the highest safety standard in the world. The 400 tonne ferris wheel was built using a combination of technologies from Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands and the company would ensure that the safety of the public is given the top priority.
