Got Lucky At Low Yat Plaza
We went to the Low Yat Plaza in Bukit Bintang, to buy a new laptop case (backpack) for myself today. My Targus backpack that I used to put in the office's laptop was torn on the left side. So, I need a new one.
The Low Yat Plaza in Bukit Bintang is a famous place for shopping all things high-tech. It's a one-stop-centre for computer products such as laptops, computer cases, cds, servers and so many more tech stuff.
It was 10.30am, and the Bukit Bintang area was already pack with people. And, it was hard to get a parking space for our motorbike. After, circling the area for 10 minutes, we finally found one.
One shop, the House of Leather was having a sale (Run Bull sale, if not mistaken), so we stepped inside. The shop was offering 20% to 50% discount!
And, I really like the laptop cases on sale. However, we didn't buy straight away. We went to the other floors and looked around.
But, I didn't find any that I like. So, we went back to the House of Leather. And, I bought the Polo Santa Barbara laptop backpack. I really love it!
The cashier told me that for purchasing any item (except food & beverage) value at RM50 or above in a single receipt, I was entitled to enter a lucky draw contest.
The lucky draw was held on hourly basis in conjunction with the Malaysia Mega Sales which started today, 16th June 2007. It was organised by various shopping centres aroung the Bukit Bintang area.
It was 12.30pm, and we decided to hang around the Low Yat Plaza for another half and hour, and see whether we are lucky. The lucky draw prize is a RM200 shopping vouchers each for one hundred winners.
But, I got tired and as we about to leave, we heard the DJ announcing about the lucky draw at an outside booth in front of the Maybank. So, we waited there for a few more minutes.
The DJ announced the name of a few winners. And, I thought I didn't win. So, we decided to leave.
Then, the DJ announced that the next winner purchased something from the House of Leather. And, he announced my name. I won!
I got a RM200 shopping vouchers from Parkson Grand. So, we went straight to Parkson to buy some clothes.
Of course, Zaly got half the prize and bought himself a really nice Bonia t-shirt.
I guess, that was our lucky day. For spending RM99 on a laptop case, I got a RM200 shopping voucher. Who else got lucky like me that day?

Malaysia Mega Sales Is Back
Once inside the plaza, we went to all shop selling laptop cases on the ground floor.
She asked me to fill a form and attached the receipt before submitting the form to the information counter. And, I did as told.
