Petrosains Kuala Lumpur is located in the heart of bustling Kuala Lumpur and housed within Suria KLCC, Petronas Twin Towers. This is a perfect place for you to experience the wonders of science and technology. Here, you can learn the involvement of Malaysia in the petroleum industry.

It is the only interactive science discovery centre and a highly advanced technological museum, that presents petroleum science and technology in a fun, story-telling way. It intelligently embraces all aspects of science -- the beginning, current and the future.

Fun Scientific Journey

While you are here, don't miss out the scientific journey, where you proceed your exploration in stages. Start your journey from The Lobby to the Dark Ride In, followed by an educationally entertaining ride through the passages of Energy, Petrojaya, Geotime Diorama, Science Station 1, Exploration, Galleria, Helicopter Simulator, Oil Platform, Downstream, Molecule Nanoworld, Metre City, Science Station 3, Teater Ungku Omar, Dark Ride Out and Xplorasi.

Beware! You can lose yourself in the ever-changing environments inside Petrosains where you are treated with an endless surprise of discoveries. You can walk through the ever-green Malaysian rainforests into the deep blue underwater world.

There is also a Cartoon Village that is very colorful and entertaining for the your whole family. The Cartoon Village is where highly advanced technology is seamlessly blended with shadow puppet play (Wayang Kulit) to give you a play by play story of hero Sri Rama and the evil King Rawana and our local hero. You will have fun watching how the shadow puppet hero managed to save the petroleum industry that we have today.

Special Events

Look out also for the Sauber Petronas Formula One racing car and a singing dinosaur that are sure to amuse you as it stands fiercely poised in its prehistoric environment. You can also experience the sensation of being in a flying helicopter!

Petrosains Kuala Lumpur also organize special events that are open to the public from time to time, such as the World Environment Day, World Water Day, Earth Day, World Food Day and F1-related activities.

Towards the end of the expedition, you can get some Kuala Lumpur souveniers from the Xplorasi gift shop. Fun do-it-yourself projects are available for your children to work on and display to family and friends. There is also packaged science discoveries that your family can participate in.
