Wet World Pedas

Wet World Pedas Hot Spring On Saturday, 10 February 2007, we drove more than 60 km to Pedas, Negeri Sembilan and have a hot splashing fun at the Wet World Pedas Hot Spring. There is nothing more rejuvenating than soaking your body in 27°C - 34°C naturally hot water for as long as you want!

Wet World Pedas Hot Spring is one of the country’s most famous and oldest hot springs. It is located in Pedas, a small town in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan. The hot spring is believed to have been discovered by locals while grazing their cattle, when the hot water of the spring caused their cattle to jump away in fright. The Japanese army were also said to have camped here during their raid of Malaya, using the hot water to treat their injured comrades.

Our Journey to The Wet World

Set amidst scenic hills, Wet World Pedas Hot Spring offers you hours of family fun. For more than 60 years, people have been going there to enjoy the hot spring water, which contains minerals and is believed to have healing and therapeutic properties. Wet World Pedas Hot Springs which was opened in 1999 is located about 13 km from Seremban.

We used the North-South PLUS Highway and exit at the Senawang interchange. After the toll gate, we drove ahead until we saw the second traffic light where we took a right turn to Rembau/Tampin. At first we thought we were lost because there was no signboard pointing to Pedas along the old trunk road. After driving for about 10 minutes, the signboard of the Wet World Pedas Hot Spring greeted us.

Natural Hot Spring

This Wet World seems to be empty with almost no activity if seen from outside. Once inside, I saw a few kids running around in their colorful swim suits, while some parents were having snacks at the food outlets. This is a rather quite waterpark if compared to the famous Sunway Lagoon and that's a good thing because the pool will not be so crowded with people!

Do You Know?

Panas = Hot
Air Panas = Hot Spring
Kolam = Pool

There are two types of hot spring pools to choose from, so the choice is yours whether to soak along with other visitors in the public hot water pool or take a private soak in one of the many hot spring 'bathroom' facility. At about 27°C - 34°C, the naturally hot water contain minerals that have healing properties - it is said to provide relief for arthritis, joint pains, body aches and a variety of skin ailments.

So for those with skin irritations, do not miss out on the chance to have your own dermal hydrotherapy, particularly the hot spring footbath pool. You'll never know its benefits until you try. Other attractions at Pedas Hot Spring Wet World include a reflexology path filled with spring water, a moat and paddle canal, spring jets and a play area for children.

You can try the two giant slides that will take you through twists and turns high above before dunking you into a swimming pool at the end of the ride, or you can enjoy floating around in the man-made canal on large rubber floats while enjoying the warm caress of the sun and the gentle breeze on your face.

How to Get to Pedas Hot Spring Wet World

About an hour's drive on the North-South Expressway from Kuala Lumpur. Exit at the Senawang or Pedas-Linggi interchanges. The water park is about 13 km from Seremban, on the old trunk road to Tampin.

After spending two hours at the Wet World Pedas Hot Spring, we packed our stuff, took a shower and had a little picnic in our car. I made some sandwiches before going to the water park but food from outside is not allowed in the park. Actually, it was rather fun eating the sandwiches in our Chevy which was park under the shade of a tree, especially when we're starving!
